Phykrell (Cy’Krell)
Alignment: Evil
Domains: Greater God, commonly associated with Greed and Lust
Symbol: Black Dragon Head
Appearance: Most often took the form of an Elder Black Dragon. The dragons of lore, though created by numerous different gods, have duplicated Krell’s terrifying visage. Some of the ancient texts also state that Krell would appear to his faithful followers as a black skinned human twice the height of a normal man.

History: Phykrell has been a major figure in the historical events of both Gods and man, which is well documented in the many ancient religious texts. He campaigned and finally become known as the ‘Lord of Gods’, but never obtained the dominance over the other deities that he truly sought. Failing that, he later sought to enslave mankind during the Dark Wars. A united effort by a number of the Gods managed to defeat Phykrell and his allies. As a punishment for his crimes, in a rare moment of unity between the more powerful deities, Phykrell was imprisoned in a mountain called Crown spires on the mortal plane. There he is said to lie bleeding from a thousands wounds, reminders of his resistance to the very last moment.

Followers: The most devote followers of Phykrell are those of the Church of the Shroud. The most ambitious of the lot participate in a dark ritual that requires them to drink the blood of Krell, altering them forever in powerful and repugnant ways. The Church of the Shroud is the largest and most visible religious organization within the human lands but his worshippers come from virtually all races. Attracting those who seek power over others and the use of destructive magics. Those changed by the drinking of the blood are collectively called the Shroud and consumption gives them an immortal life but physically alters them in a vile and chaotic manner.

The Church of the Shroud is not the only entity loyal to Krell. Delrox, one of the three original mages instructed in the arts by the Angels of Arnde, is a fanatical follower of the God of Greed. During the Dark Wars, it was Delrox that was given reign of Krell’s armies and he still serves as Warlord to this day. Delrox has an uneasy alliance with the Church of the Shroud, he wanting them to be more vigilant in forcing the release of Phykrell and they waiting for an opening that would allow them to remove this competitor.
