Patch Version 1.3 is now available. Version 1.3 will update all earlier versions of Ghost Recon to the latest version. Click here to download the patch now. *Note* This patch is for US/UK (English) versions of Ghost Recon ONLY. *NOTE*Players will be REQUIRED to use the GR CD after installing the patch. Previous versions of Ghost Recon will no longer be compatible with version 1.3.

You must install the same language version of the patch as your copy of Ghost Recon -- users with the English language version of Ghost Recon must install the English patch, users with the French language version must install the French patch, etc.

**** WARNING **** Replay files from a previous version of Ghost Recon will no longer work once a mission pack or patch is installed. However, saved campaigns and other settings WILL continue to work normally.

The Desert Siege Multiplayer Patch is now available for download.

Note: This patch is ONLY for Ghost Recon: Desert Siege. Players running Ghost Recon without the Desert Siege mission pack do not need to install the patch.

This patch corrects a play balance issue in Desert Siege multiplayer games with two or more teams. Once the patch is installed, players on different teams but with the same player class (rifleman, support, etc.) will now have the same stats. Previously, players on team #1 would have different stats than players on other teams. This patch only affects multiplayer games and only needs to be installed by players who plan to host a Desert Siege server on their computer.

This patch will update all language versions of Desert Siege -- players running non-English versions do not need to download a different patch. Please follow the instructions below to properly download and install the patch:

Install Instructions
INSTALLING: Once unaced, there will be a new folder called Ghost Recon.  Drill down this Folder until you find "Origmiss"  right click and copy this folder.  Past this folder into "c:/yourgames/Ghost Recon/Mods/".   Let it copy over any files and/or folders.  Once installed there is no need to activate this mission.

Install Instructions
INSTALLING: Once unaced, there are basically two types of mods: .exe files and file folders. If a mod is a .exe file, all you need to do to install it is to double-click it, and then just enter the directory where Ghost Recon is loaded. This is basically the same way most games and programs are installed. The other type of mod comes in a file folder. Once unzipped, it will be a folder, usually with the same name as the mod.  Either unzip the file directly to, or you can copy and paste to, the MODS folder inside your Ghost Recon folder.

 PLAYING MODS

ACTIVATING: To play a mod in single or multiplayer, you must first activate it. To do this, launch Ghost Recon, and then go to your OPTIONS menu. There will be a tab at the top that says MODS. CLick on that tab, select a mod, and then click ACTIVATE. Now you are ready to play the mod!
